“It’s one thing to make a picture of what a person looks like, it’s another thing to make a portrait of who they are.”
— Paul Caponigro
Family is truly the most beautiful gift of all. I feel honored to participate in the lives of my clients, and strive to capture the magic and joy of childhood, relationships and family in the most authentic way—unobtrusively, honestly, joyfully, and most of all, while having a lot of fun. My photography style is natural and playful. This means that while I’m careful to capture what makes you uniquely you, I also watch what unfolds, to include the most beautiful moments of your session. With a focus on real emotions and connections, I limit the number of posed and staged photographs and try, instead, to highlight the laughter, joy, and love a family feels.
Most of my sessions are done on location, and I will work with you to find a spot that works for you! For newborn sessions, baby sessions, and cake smashes, I have a lovely natural light studio space in my home in Nahant. I will work closely with you from the moment you contact me until your images are hanging on your walls or your album adorns your coffee table. I can provide guidance on what to wear, how to get your kids to cooperate, and where and when to hold the session. After the session, we can work together to decide how you will enjoy your beautiful new images!
WHAT TO EXPECT
Sessions generally last 60 to 90 minutes and include breaks for a drink or small snack, as well as an outfit change. The best results are often achieved from morning sessions when everyone is fresh or sunset sessions when the light is beautiful. I will work with what is best for you and your family. I strive to make each session stress-free and fun. I like to document the moments, but not force them.
After the session, my goal is to provide you with beautiful art for your home and heirlooms for your family—all with the attention to detail and quality that my discerning clients deserve. From birth announcements to holiday cards, beautifully crafted keepsake boxes, wraparound canvas collections, fun framed photographs and mini grandparent albums, my pledge is to exceed your portraiture expectations.

This morning I went for a walk on the beach. I am fortunate enough to do this almost every day. (Gotta love Nahant!) The difference today was that it was the first time since my shoulder surgery that I went for a walk… …without my sling! Cue the trumpets and...read more
I don’t know about you, but every year I struggle with what to get my husband as a Fathers’ day gift. And don’t even get me started on what to get my Dad. I have given the man more plaid shirts and sweater vests than any man anywhere will ever need. So what to do? In...read more
